What is Computer?

A computer is a electric device that accepts information (in the form of digitalized data) and manipulates data for some result based on a specific command ,program, software, or sequence of instructions  how the data is to be processed. after process the result store into memory unit.

The two basic types of memory in a computer are

1.  Primary Memory
2.  Secondary Memory.

The primary memory can access directly the ( CPU central processing unit ) whereas the secondary memory cannot be directly accessed. Example of Primary & secondary memory is : RAM( Random access memory is a primary memory ) .The secondary memory is HDD .Also Primary Storage used to hold running program instructions .But primary memoy is volatile storage type.

Classification of Computers by Size

1.  Supercomputers.
2.  Mainframe computers.
3.  Minicomputers.
4 . Personal computers (PCs) or microcomputers.
